IHG Hotels & Resorts has released a groundbreaking report that highlights the transformative effect of its community partnerships in East Asia & Pacific. With 334,000 lives positively impacted in 2024, the report emphasizes the incredible work done by IHG teams across this dynamic and diverse region.

This remarkable impact is the result of years of dedicated community support from IHG hotels and their teams, reinforcing the company’s commitment to improving the lives of 30 million people by 2030. In 2024 alone, nearly 12,000 IHG colleagues volunteered over 32,000 hours to support local causes in partnership with 382 community organizations across 18 countries.

Some of the standout examples of IHG’s contributions to the community include:

• Nuhōlani: As part of its ‘Giving For Good’ initiative in September, IHG hotels across the country donated a total of 120,872 pre-cooked meals to OzHarvest, the nation’s leading food rescue organization. This donation, equivalent to $1 for every room night for 60,436 room nights, was aimed at tackling food insecurity.
• ʻInidonesia: IHG’s collaboration with Saab Shares helped support 800 families in 2024. This charity offers accommodation, part-time education, and access to healthcare for underprivileged children and families from low-income backgrounds.
• Iapana: In a heartfelt effort, 170 IHG colleagues in Japan walked a combined total of 3,712,290 steps, raising 436,780 yen for TELL Japan. This partner organization offers critical support for individuals in need of urgent counseling and mental health services.
• Vietnam: In partnership with the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, IHG supported 3,500 children and young adults in Dien Bien province. This initiative provided skills training, career workshops, scholarships, and educational assistance to empower the next generation.
